Unbinding

Lying in ruby twilight
Facing the father of the glow
Mind and heart can no longer bear
Ashes and armour, the prison
My chest bursts, crashing open like the great silver gate
The pillar of fire roars forth, deafening, ecstatic
Up through gleaming rib wing portals rise
Flaming, gracious angels, dancing
And laughing, angry demons with broken chains
Angels flicker, up through the furnace light
And away into sunsets
Demons remain, shimmering and
Delightful
My fire is beautiful
Heart is huge and hot
Mind spreads toward horizons
The Blue and the Gold
Unbinding
